Official Pokémon Presents showcase goes live this morning for Pokémon Day 2025

Happy Pokémon Day 2025 Trainers! This year’s celebration lands 29 years to the day since the original Pokémon video games were released in Japan, but perhaps more importantly will almost certainly give us another good look at the upcoming new Pokémon Legends: Z-A game scheduled to come to Switch this year, and quite possibly for Switch 2. The real celebration kicks off this morning with an official Pokémon Presents live stream and you can catch it all down below.

Pokémon Day 2025

The Pokémon Day 2025 celebrations will span across every region of the internet, include loads of price drops on accessories – we are already tracking a series of notable deals on PowerA Pokémon controllers and Switch gear, not to mention a massive selection of deals on toys, plushies, this themed Snorlax microSD card, and a whole lot more, but it’s really all about today’s Pokémon Presents showcase.

Today’s Pokémon Presents showcase is set to go live on official channels starting at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and will surely be loaded with updates on existing monster-catching games and apps, as well as Pokémon TCG, and, what will be for many, the headliner of the show, Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

The Pokémon Company been largely tight-lipped about what will be on display during today’s Pokémon Day Presents showcase, but you would think it would be nearly impossible not to see some kind of update on Legends: Z-A – Game Freak’s new Legends title, a sequel of sorts to Legends Arceus, that is set for release this year on Nintendo Switch.

Switch 2 launch games: New 3D Mario game, Zelda remake, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Metroid, more

Part of the ninth generation of Pokémon titles, Legends: Z-A is a game published by Nintendo after all and is widely expected to land on Switch 2 at some point later this year (this one will likely be a title that will release across both Switch and Switch 2, but it’s hard to say at this point). Not a whole lot is known about the game at this point outside of it taking place in Lumiose City – an urban sprawl based on Paris, France and set within the new Kalos Region – alongside some version of the Mega Evolution mechanic.

Beyond that, the showcase will likely focus on updates for Pokémon Go!, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon TCG.

But it won’t be long now before we catch all of the new updates landing for Pokémon Day 2025 as the official Pokémon Presents stream will be live in a few hours time and we will update this post with the live stream as soon as it is available.
