The first official GTA 6 trailer finally landed way back in December of 2023 and, as we all eagerly await the next look at the wildly popular new entry in the series, Take-Two has confirmed it is still on track to release this year.

Take-Two confirms Grand Theft Auto 6 is still releasing in fall 2025

The publisher had already stated that Grand Theft Auto VI would be landing later in 2025, but with a game of this magnitude and what could only be about as much pressure on a development team as one could imagine, delays are certainly possible.

But, in today’s official Take-Two earnings press release, the Rockstar parent company has reconfirmed the game is still on track for this fall.

We don’t have an official release date yet, nor do we have details on when the next trailer will (almost certainly leak) get officially released, it would appear the game’s publisher still thinks it’s going to be releasing this fall:

“Looking ahead, this calendar year is shaping up to be one of the strongest ever for Take-Two, as we plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the Summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall, and Borderlands 4. We continue to invest prudently in our development pipeline and remain confident in Zynga’s potential to create new mobile forever franchises as demonstrated by their ongoing success with Match Factory.”

The rest of the press release is a bunch of boring stuff about how many bazillions of dollars the company is still raking in off GTA 5 and the rest of its stable of titles, but if you want to browse through it for yourself, have at it

If you’re the one person on planet earth that hasn’t seen the first GTA VI trailer, you’ll find it below:
