Nintendo has now officially confirmed the date and time for the upcoming Switch 2 Direct showcase

The new Nintendo Switch 2 has to be one of the most exciting new upcoming releases and, while there has been tons of speculation and even some credible rumors on the upcoming games and other details, we are all anxiously awaiting the official dedicated Direct presentation scheduled for April 2, 2025. And we now know exactly what time it will go live. 

What time is the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?

Nintendo has now updated its official Switch 2 Direct page with some additional details. While there’s nothing overly juicy here in terms of information, we do now know the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct will take place on April 2, 2025 at 6 a.m. PST/9 a.m. ET.

Here’s the official word from Nintendo:

Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 – 4.2.2025 will air on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 6 a.m. PST, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo unleashed the first official look at the new Switch 2 late last month, just as some had predicted it would. It gave us a quick look at what just about everyone presumes will be a brand new Mario Kart game, some light details on Switch backwards compatibility, and good look at the new, larger form-factor of its next-generation console. 

But there have been also loads of rumors and additional details pulled from the first look trailer, including everything from mouse mode for the Joy-Con to that mysterious “C” button. Here’s some highlights we have collated on what to expect from the upcoming Switch 2:
