While we have seen Amazon host some major hardware events in September previously, it looks like the massive retailer meets everything else brand is set to showcase “what’s next” later this month. Invites have now made their way out to media and it looks like we are three weeks out from getting a new look at what could be the next major hardware releases and Alexa upgrades from Amazon.
Amazon reveal event – ‘See what’s next’
The actual details on what the next Amazon showcase is all about are thin at best right now. In fact, we don’t know a whole lot more than what it says in the key art above, and that’s not saying all that much at all.
Amazon, for the most part, just takes to its own news feed to announce new gear, hardware updates, software integrations, and so on, and often just randomly throughout the year. But we have seen it host full-on hardware events, loaded with new gear releases and updates, so it’s hard to say exactly what the February 2025 show will entail.
All of that said, Amazon updated is smart doorbell lineup alongside the Ring team a couple times in early 2024 with the next-gen smart Battery Doorbell and its “most advanced” rechargeable battery doorbell yet. After that, a slew of new hardware releases surfaced starting right before Prime Day and leading almost all the way up until year’s end:
- All-new 2024 Amazon Echo Spot smart speaker with display
- Amazon debuts next-gen family of Kindle devices
- Amazon debuts all-new Fire tablets with double the RAM
- Amazon’s new smart displays – a supersized Echo Show 21 and Echo Show 15
- Amazon’s new flagship 144Hz mini-LED Omni smart Fire TVs
While there are still plenty of other hardware product lines that haven’t been upgraded nearly as recently as those above, it feels a bit premature for Amazon to unleash a massive lineup of new gear this month.

That said, and as some have suggested the already delayed next-generation Alexa seems a worthy candidate to headline the event. And with new Alexa likely comes new hardware Amazon will want to sell you to access it on. Long awaited new flagship Alexa Buds with ANC come to mind, perhaps some new Echo speakers, or a new Echo lamp of some sort.
Only time will tell now, but hardware chief Panos Panay and the team are set to take center stage come February 26 at 10 a.m. ET and we’ll have all of the details for you then.
