While we are still tracking a solid all-time low on the flagship Nothing Ear ANC wireless earbuds at $114, we have also just spotted a solid deal on the more affordable Nothing Ear (a) in all three colors. Regularly $99, you can now land the black, yellow, and white set down at $79 shipped each courtesy of the official Woot Amazon storefront. You’re looking at a solid 20% price drop on one of the more impressive and unique-looking set of buds on the market – this deal comes within $2 of the lowest price we have tracked outside of a very brief Lightning offer on the black set at $69.
While Nothing’s buds might not be on the top of everyone’s list considering how competitive a product category this is, they tend to hit above their price range in terms of specs and just about no one can deny how much they stand out from the competition in the looks department.
After giving all of the latest models a hands-on test back in November, our overall take was that they “hit all the right notes in all the right places.”
The Nothing Ear (a) lands at a relatively affordable price range while a 2mm driver, according to the brand, delivers double the power of the previous set as well as “deeper bass performance.” You’re also scoring some smart active noise cancellation as the buds will automatically check for “noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it.”
All of that joins voice isolation tech for call clarity as well as up to 10 hours of battery life on the buds themselves and a total of 42.5 hours with the included charging case.
Nothing smartphone owners can leverage the onboard ChatGPT functionality as well – “a first-of-its-kind integration, made for your Nothing ecosystem. Use your voice to access ChatGPT on Ear and Ear (a), wherever you are.”
Nothing Ear (a) Wireless Earbuds feature:
- Powerful 11 mm driver: We’ve made our driver even more compact. With double the power than Ear (2), Ear (a) delivers an even deeper bass performance. The extra space gives sound waves more room to vibrate. With two new vents, airflow is improved inside the bud. For less distortion and richer overall clarity
- Smart Active Noise Cancellation: Up to 45 dB,Nothing Ear (a) automatically checks for noise leakage between the earbud and your ear canal, then applies more noise cancellation to make up for it. So you receive the best possible noise cancellation. Happens every time you put them in. So you can go from quiet rooms to busy streets without hearing a thing (other than what’s playing)
- Clear Voice Technology: Clear as day. Ear (a) isolates your voice from everyday distractions so calls on-the-go feel like face-to-face conversations. With a new talk mic and extra airway on the stem for wind to pass through, we’ve reduced interference by 60% compared to Ear (2)
