OtterBox debuts new Galaxy S25 cases: Qi2 magnetic models, Cactus leather, ultra-protective, more

The new OtterBox case collection for the new Galaxy S25, S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra has landed. The brand has been a mainstay around here in the case game for many years, and for good reason – it makes solid and reliable solutions with an ever-growing expanse of options ranging from the ultra protective through to more fun and intricate designs alongside its latest cactus leather treatments. But this year, much like we have seen from other brands, it too will be offering a range of magnetic fast charging Qi2 certified options. Scope out the highlights below. 

New OtterBox Galaxy S25 case lineup

The 2025 OtterBox collection for the new Samsung Galaxy S25 devices features the latest editions of its long-running classics, including the “toughest case in the OtterBox lineup,” the Defender Series Pro, as well as the two-piece Commuter Series for “city dwellers and low-key adventurers alike.” Those options also join the Symmetry Series Cactus Leather models that feature an animal-friendly leather alternative made from nopal cactus and still features military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6) drop protection. 

Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights on these models from OtterBox:

• Symmetry Series Cactus Leather $59.95: a case that feels like leather and is made with nopal cactus, is now available for Galaxy S25 series. With 3X as many drops as military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6), the plant-based leather phone case is stylish and protective.

• Symmetry Series Soft Touch $59.95: a silicone case that is silky smooth to the touch and features newly integrated anchor points for use with the OtterBox 2-in-1 Crossbody and Beaded Wristlet.

• Defender Series Pro $64.95: the toughest case in the OtterBox line-up, boasting 7X as many drops as military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6), reimagined with all-over texture on the outer slipcover to prevent drops before they happen and still includes fan-favorite features like tri-layer defense, reinforced corners for shock absorption and port covers. Defender Series Pro XT with Magnets is coming soon for Galaxy S25 series.

• Commuter Series $39.95: a rugged, two-piece case that is perfect for city dwellers and low-key adventurers alike. Features textured, grippy sides, and built with 3X as many drops as military standard (MIL-STD-810G 516.6)

We are getting the feeling that for many Galaxy S25 users, leveraging the new Qi2 support on the new phones by way of certified cases with the onboard magnetic treatment to make use of what is sure to be an influx of new accessories, from wallets and mounts to chargers, stands, and more, iis going to be a popular option. And OtterBox is here for you. 

The brand is also issues a series of models with the fast charging magnetic Qi2 charging action, including its Symmetry Series Clear with Magnets, Symmetry Series with Magnets, and the Defender Series Pro XT with Magnets. We are unfortunately, at this point not seeing an option to score the newer Cactus models with the magnetic Qi2 action. 

As of right now, OtterBox still has its new magnetic Qi2 models listed as “coming soon,” but the actual product listing pages are there and they will go live at any time now – we will update this post and our social feeds when they are available for purchase.
