Apple MagSafe Charger

Today over at Woot, you’ll find a sweet deal on the official 1st generation Apple MagSafe Charger at $14.99 with free shipping for Prime members (a $6 delivery fee will apply otherwise). You can also opt for a 2-pack at $27.99 or a 3-pack at $39.99 Prime shipped – that’s just over $13 a pop. This model is currently out of stock at Amazon where it has never dropped below $25 and has now been superseded by the next-generation model that is now starting down at $32. Today’s Woot deals are brand new units, but they ship in plain packaging and come with a 1-year Woot warranty. All of the details you need are waiting down below.

The 1st gen Apple MagSafe charger looks and functions very similar to the new one. The main differences are the woven integrated cable on the new variant and the charging speeds.

The original model featured here today maxes out at 15W of juice whereas the new Apple MagSafe charger can deliver 25W to iPhone 16 – and is the only model on the market than can do so. Just note, only the new iPhone 16 handsets can even take the 25W of juice – previous-gen iPhones max out at 15W.

While, as we detailed previously, it is nice to get a speedy charge, if you’re anything like me the 15W of juice is more than enough for a reliable charging experience. That said, if you are looking for Apple’s latest and greatest wireless magnetic charger, here’s how the discounted pricing shakes out on the 1-meter and 2-meter models right now:

Apple’s new 25W MagSafe charger takes the power game next level, but do we actually need it?

Apple 1st Gen MagSafe Charger features:

  • The MagSafe Charger makes wireless charging a snap. The perfectly aligned magnets attach to your iPhone 12 or later model to provide faster wireless charging up to 15W.
  • The MagSafe Charger maintains compatibility with Qi charging, so it can be used to wirelessly charge your iPhone 8 or later, as well as AirPods models with a wireless charging case, as you would with any Qi-certified charger.
  • This wireless charger has a 1m USB-C integrated cable (3.2 feet)
  • Recommended to be used with Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter (sold separately)
