Amazon is offering the Jetson Shield Ultra-Lock Electric Scooter for $399.99 shipped. Coming down from its $600 full price, 2023 saw very few discounts, with 2024 upping the ante in the first few months by regularly dropping costs under $490. While we did see it go for less back in those months, after June the prices kept above $500, with today’s deal bringing some much-needed relief in the form of a 33% markdown that cuts a solid $200 from its going rate and brings costs down amongst its lowest that we have tracked.
Jetson’s Shield Ultra-Lock scooter, as the name implies, has been designed with security at the forefront, offering multiple options to keep track of it when you’re not aboard. You’ll get a solid travel range of up to 18 miles riding this model, topping out at 15.5 MPH speeds. In terms of its security features, the first line of defense comes in the form of an electronic lock on the wheels, which can be unlocked with a custom-set passcode or a tap of the included NFC tag. Next, there is a retractable cable lock in the scooter’s stem that has its own 4-digit combination, as well as a concealed lockable compartment that is perfect for holding up to two Bluetooth tracking devices. On top of these features, there are also pneumatic tires, a rubber deck, cruise control, three-speed modes, a bright headlight, a combination taillight/brake light, and a bell.
