Amazon just unleashed two new devices to update its wall-mounted smart display lineup – Echo Show 15 and Echo Show 21. The Echo Show 15, which is the smaller of the two new smart displays, is an updated model of the Echo Show 15 that debuted in 2022. The Echo Show 21 is essentially the star of the show here, sporting a 21-inch 1080p screen. Both models are said to have improved audio, camera, and a built-in smart home hub, and they are now available to purchase on Amazon for $299.99 and $399.99 shipped, respectively. Amazon Echo Show 15 and Echo Show 15 are now available
The new Echo Show 21, according to Amazon, is capable of “delivering immersive sound, double the bass and room adaption technology.” This new model is said to have an upgraded auto-framing camera for improved video call quality with “double the field of view and 65% more zoom than the first-generation Echo Show 15.” It also has noise reduction technology for clearer footage to improve the overall quality. The highlight here, however, is the massive 21-inch display with 1080p resolution. The added screen real estate will make it better for those who were yearning for a bigger Echo Show for media consumption.
The new and upgraded Echo Show 15 model also gets the same features as the bigger one, while retaining the smaller footprint overall with a 15.6-inch display. So if you never found the need to add a bigger display to your living space, then you might want to consider this smaller one.
Both of these devices can act as smart home hubs, complete with Wi-Fi 6E, Thread, Zigbee radios, and Matter Controller capabilities for smart home action. Notably, they can also double as Fire TVs and work with Amazon’s Fire TV remote, making them great for streaming your favorite music or videos. Lastly, it’s worth highlighting that both models feature the customizable widgets that we first saw on the original Echo Show 15, so you can have your at-a-glance setup with a calendar, smart home controls, and more.
Both Echo Show 15 and the bigger Echo Show 21, as we previously mentioned, are now available to purchase on Amazon. They’re priced at $299.99 and $399.99 shipped, respectively, and they ship with the Alexa Voice Remote and wall-mounting equipment. You can also bundle them with the Amazon Premium Adjustable Stand, but keep in mind that it’ll add an additional $99.99 to the price, with the Echo Show 15 bundle costing $399.98 and the Echo Show 21 bundle jumping up to $499.98 shipped.
