Black Friday is just a few weeks away, and we’ve already started seeing a lot of great deals pop up across different retailers like Best Buy and Walmart. One of the new categories of devices we’re excited to shed more light on this year during Black Friday is Copilot+ PCs, specifically the ones powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon ARM chips. These new laptops are perfect for those looking for reliable and performant MacBook alternatives in the Windows space, and there are a few different options out there to keep an eye on from manufacturers like Samsung, ASUS, Microsoft, and more.
We’ll be closely monitoring the latest deals from major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, as well as directly from brands like Samsung, Dell, and others. Be sure to stay locked into our Black Friday 2024 hub to be among the first ones to catch the good deals as they go live. Alongside the handful of early deals now live down below, we are also here to provide some insight on what’s to come based on past trends and our coverage of sale events like 2024 Prime Day, etc. We’ll be here to guide you through the deals and help you find the perfect Copilot+ PC to suit your needs and budget.
Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge
Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 Edge Copilot+ notebooks have seen several discounts over the last few months. In fact, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge is currently discounted right now – the 16-inch Book 4 Edge with Snapdragon X Elite at $899.99 shipped, down from its usual price of $1,450 at both Best Buy and Samsung. The base variant i.e. the 14-inch model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is what you need to keep a close eye on during Black Friday, though, because we’re expecting it to return to the $800 low, if not drop lower. It’s definitely a favorite around here and we can’t wait for more people to get their hands on it at a solid price.
There’s also a relatively newer variant of Galaxy Book 4 Edge powered by the Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) chip, which is priced at $900. We haven’t seen this one drop in price just yet, but you might want to add it to your watchlist as well. ASUS’ $900 Vivobook S 15 powered by the same Snapdragon X Plus recently fell to $650, and we might see a similar discount hitting Samsung’s X Plus-powered Galaxy Book 4 Edge notebook sooner rather than later. Below is a quick look at some of the lowest prices we’ve tracked for Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 Edge machine so far.
- 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge w/ Snapdragon X Plus $900
- 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge w/ Snapdragon X Elite $800 (Reg. $1,350)
- 16-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge w/ Snapdragon X Elite $900 (Reg. $1,450)
Microsoft Surface lineup
Microsoft’s new Surface notebooks were among the first to enter the fray with Snapdragon X Elite chips to compete with the competition. The brand debuted new Surface Laptops and Surface Pro 2-in-1 devices this year, and they’ve both seen solid discounts over the last few months. The Surface Laptop with the 12-core X Elite chip recently hit the $1,100 low in Sapphire colorway, but we’re yet to see THE Black Friday deals on them just yet, in my opinion.
We’ve seen the Surface Pro 11 with both Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite down at $900 and $1,300 lows, respectively, and we’re expecting to see those prices return again that too for more colors. When it comes to the Surface Pro 11, it’s important to keep an eye on the bundle deals as well that get you both the Surface Pro 11 tablet and the new Surface Keyboard accessory. This particular accessory can put a huge dent in your wallet on its own, so you’re better off looking at the bundle deals when it comes to the Surface Pro 11 as they deliver value for money. Below is a quick look at some of the lowest prices we’ve tracked for the Surface devices including their accessories.
- Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 w/ Snapdragon X Elite $1,100 (Reg. $1,400)
- Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 w/ Snapdragon X Plus $1,002 (Reg. $1,200)
- Microsoft Surface Pro 11 2-in-1 w/ Snapdragon X Plus $900 (Reg. $1,200)
- Microsoft Surface Pro 11 2-in-1 w/ Snapdragon X Elite $1,140 (Reg. 1,400)
- Surface Pro keyboard + Slim Pen 2 bundle $224 (Reg. $280)
- Microsoft Surface Pro Keyboard $150 (Reg. $180)
ASUS Vivobook
ASUS has a handful of new laptops on the market in its Vivobook and Zenbook lineup, though we’re more interested in the ones from the brand’s Vivobook series, particularly the Vivobook S 15 powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite chips. Unlike many other high-end Copilot+ PCs on the market, these two machines in ASUS’ Vivobook lineup deliver incredible value for your money with solid specifications on the deck at really good prices.
The Snapdragon X Plus-powered Vivobook S 15, in particular, is the one to keep an eye on if you’re fishing for a reliable notebook for day-to-day workloads. We’ve seen it drop to the $750 mark in recent months, and we won’t be surprised to see it return to that sometime between now and Black Friday or Cyber Monday. The X Elite variant, on the other hand, is also expected to land somewhere around the $900 mark. You can definitely land a Galaxy Book 4 Edge or even a Surface Laptop with relatively less storage at around $900 this Black Friday from Best Buy, but the Vivobook S 15 is worth keeping in the books, especially if you want a laptop with a 3K 120Hz OLED and 1TB SSD. Here’s a quick look at the discounted prices we’ve seen for the Vivobook laptops so far to give you an idea of what to expect.
- ASUS Vivobook S 15 w/ Snapdragon X Plus $650 (Reg. $900)
- ASUS Vivobook S 15 w/ Snapdragon X Elite $877 (Reg. $1,300)
Dell XPS and Inspiron Copilot+ PCs
It’s hard to ignore the Copilot+ ultrabook offerings from Dell, and we’re definitely expecting some fresh lows on Dell’s XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus Copilot+ laptops during the upcoming Black Friday. Dell hasn’t announced any price drops on these machines as a part of its Black Friday sale, though we expect them to shine at retailers like Best Buy where they often drop below their usual going rates. Dell has been dishing out some huge offers on some newer XPS 13 and XPS 14 notebooks powered by the latest Intel and AMD processors, so you might want to look into the Inspiron 14 Plus with Snapdragon X Plus if you want to score reliable notebooks at a sweet price. You’ll find some of the lowest prices we’ve tracked for Dell’s Snapdragon Copilot+ PCs below, and those should give you an idea of what to expect.
- Dell Inspiron 14 Plus w/ Snapdragon X Plus $700 (Reg. $1,000)
- Dell XPS 13 w/ Snapdragon X Elite $990 (Reg. $1,200)
We have turned the spotlight on some previously discounted Copilot+ PCs in this post, but do keep in mind that we might see some fresh lows on notebooks that have never been discounted before. That’s usually the case when it comes to these types of limited-time sale events, so be sure to keep an eye on our Black Friday 2024 hub for the latest updates and exclusive offers.
