If you can make 8GB of RAM work, Apple’s M3 MacBook Pro just dropped to an insane $1,100 all-time low ($499 off)

The new M4 MacBook Pro is here, we are already tracking notable price drops on it, and Apple has indeed upped the ante with all base model Macs now coming with 16GB of RAM. But if you can make do with the 8GB setups, Amazon is offering some frankly wild clearance on pricing on the base-model M3 MacBook Pro. We have seen some solid $600 price dips on the higher-end MacBook Pro with M3, but the base model with 8GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD just dropped down to MacBook Air prices folks. You can score this configuration down at a wild $1,099.99 shipped after clipping the $250 on-page coupon. This was a regularly $1,599 machine and it’s now seeing the deepest price drop we have tracked to date at $499 off.

Again, the higher-end M3 models have seen a few chances to nab one at $500 and $600 off, but not the most affordable configuration like we are seeing today. Previous to today, the entry-level M3 MacBook Pro never dropped below $1,299 at Amazon.

There’s no denying that 8GB of RAM just doesn’t cut it for some folks, but we would be remiss not to at the very least put this particularly crazy price drop front and center for folks that can make it work for them.

You’re looking at a MacBook Pro at the same price as the entry-level M3 MacBook Air here. While that one does come with 16GB of RAM now, and is currently on sale for $1,049, Apple’s pro-grade laptops have already fetched a serious premium over the more casual Air variants, until today.

Here are the configurations we are still seeing serious clearance pricing on as of right now:

And here’s a look at today’s M4 Pro/Max MacBook Pro cash deals for comparison’s sake:
