Satechi launches next-gen Qi2 15W foldable 3-in-1 charging station
As we have gone over previously, the 3-in-1 magnetic charging station space is a very busy one. Just about every tech accessory brand out there has one and it is becoming more and more difficult to stand out from the pack. Nomad’s remains as a relatively unique form-factor with a super heavy-duty base, the new Hyper model that is now up for sale provides a fourth 10W Qi pad, but many of the options out there are, at their core, the same thing these days.
Satechi is delivering another Qi2 15W 3-in-1 setup, but, like much of the brand’s accessories, it does find a way to standout and will likely get shortlisted among the top-tier options on the market.

The first thing that catches my eye here is the striking aesthetics. Featuring an aluminum base, you’ll find a Space Gray-like color treatment surrounding the edge of the charging pad with a sort of chamfered edge approach. Atop that, a vegan leather wrap adds a touch of luxury to the look and feel here without driving the price up too high the way a full-grain leather might.
The second element of the design here is the foldable nature. It’s not the first 3-in-1 to offer this feature, but it its among only a small handful on options from the top-tier accessory makers to offer it. This charging pad can be used in an entirely flat orientation before the main extension carrying the 15W MagSafe pad folds up opposite the pop-out 5W Apple Watch charger to provide a heads-up, desktop ready viewing angle for your Apple gear. This model, at least for me, appears to be a more proper desktop option that also happens to fold down by comparison to some of the other models that seem like more of a portable-first design. We will report back soon once we have had a chance to go hands-on.
