It’s Morphing Time! Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid announced with cross-play

Power Rangers Battle for the Grid

Power Rangers is 25 years old now, and finally, fans are getting the “game they’ve been waiting for.” This new game, called Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, features stunning graphics with vivid details. You’ll be able to use classic and current Rangers and villains like never before with your friends.

By competing online, you can play against your friends to test your skills against live players from around the world. There will be online tournaments and missions that go on throughout the year, and live gameplay will always offer a new experience.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid

The Power Rangers multiverse has existed for 25 years. There will be new and old Rangers available in this game, allowing you to have an authentic experience with reimagined battle sequences like never before.

The combat system is welcoming to newcomers with simplified controls. There aren’t super complicated commands or patterns, but instead an easy-to-learn game. For those with some experience under their belt, however, you can get quite complicated. Though easy to play, it’s quite hard to master, because learning exactly when to strike is the key, not how.

Not only will Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam, but there will be cross-platform play available for Switch, PC, and Xbox One. Sadly, PlayStation 4 cross-platform play will be unavailable at launch. Do note, the PC version is set to come out at a future unspecified date.

nWay, the company behind Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, teamed up with both Hasbro and Lionsgate here to build a historical Power Rangers game that fans new and old will come to enjoy.

When it comes time to buy Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, you’ll only be set back $19.99 for the standard version. That’s quite good, considering many new titles launch at $60. There will be a collector’s edition available to pre-order, as well, at $39.99. The collector’s edition will include the full game, a season pass (which will give you an “arcade story”, warrior skin, and three new characters), an exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger character skins. And a pre-order bonus for everyone will be to receive an exclusive Green Ranger V2 character skin with a digital art book.

This game is scheduled for release in April for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Do keep in mind that PC gamers won’t be able to pre-order until sometime later in the year.
