We’re expecting the best Black Friday ads to start rolling out over the next two weeks as we’re officially one month away from this year’s biggest shopping event. While the ads have yet to arrive, many retailers have already confirmed their plans for in-store hours throughout the week of November 18th. It can be tough to keep track of which stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day. Head below for a complete list of official closures and more.
Black Friday store hours and online doorbusters
With the ever-growing presence of online shopping, retailers have taken varying approaches to setting hours for brick and mortar locations. And while many retailers are electing to be closed for their employees’ sake, that doesn’t mean that the deals won’t be flowing on virtual storefronts. Perhaps more than ever we’re seeing retailers closed on Thanksgiving Day and opting for a strong online presence.
As Black Friday ads begin to roll out in earnest over the next two weeks, we’ll have an even better idea of which retail locations will be open and how many stores will elect to be closed on Thanksgiving. If you’ve been following along with our Black Friday prep guides, you know that historically store closures vary by retailer. You can expect much of the same in 2018.
Many retailers will offer virtual doorbusters on Thanksgiving Day, even if their brick and mortar locations are shut down. Best Buy, Walmart, Target and many others are expected to go this route on Thursday, November 22nd.
