As expected, we are getting a wealth of 2018 holiday toy books ahead of this year’s official Black Friday ads. After announcing a massive overhaul to its online and in-store kids’ offerings just yesterday, we now have our hands on the Target Toy Book for 2018.
Black Friday details have already been coming down the pipeline over the last few weeks. As we are now closing in on the big shopping bonanza, going through our Black Friday guides for each retailer can be a great way to prepare yourself for the onslaught of deals you’re about to get hit with. Similarly, these early 2018 retailer-specific toy books can also give shoppers a good idea as to what will go on sale next month and what has been the biggest sellers of the year. We have already seen 2018 catalogs from the likes of Amazon, LEGO, Kohl’s and Dollar General, but now it’s time for the Target Toy Book 2018 edition.
As we mentioned yesterday, the national retailer is looking to jump in on the Toys R Us bankruptcy with big plans for kids’ toys. Target is planning on having over 2,500 new and exclusive toys and is adding as much as 250,000-square feet of toy shelves nationwide.
Early Target Toy Book Deals
We now have over 85 pages of Target’s top toy picks, some early deals and more. Firstly, you’ll find 40% off a kids’ daily deal via Target Cartwheel from November 1st through Thanksgiving. And then starting on October 28th, you can text TOY to Target (827438) for a 25% off coupon towards a single “toy, sporting good of craft activity kit”. That one is valid until November 10th which is right around the same time we are expecting to see the Target Black Friday 2018 ad.
Hottest Toys of the Year
Starting on page four, Target begins to show-off what it expects to be the biggest toys of the year including Barbie Dreamhouse, L.O.L. Surprise! Bigger Surprise!, Nerf blasters and Batman LEGO kits. Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4 games/consoles take up about five pages here. We expect competition to be fierce across all major retailers when it comes to gaming.
The Target Toy Book also has loads of other LEGO sets highlighted from Harry Potter and Marvel to popular Architect kits and more. As we mentioned in our Target Black Friday 2018 Guide, we are expecting the national retailer to throw in some gift cards in order to sweeten the deals here, and that very well could happen with these popular LEGO sets. Target is advertising a $10 gift card with select LEGO purchases of $50 or more, but it doesn’t appear to be live just yet.
