Caavo wants its Control Center to be the central 4K HDR smart hub of your home theater

When it comes to a full-blown home theater setup, things can get a little confusing. There are multiple remotes for the DVR, TV, Blu-ray player, and A/V receiver. You have Apple TV, Xbox, and your cable provider’s boxes to switch through. This can be a pain if you’re looking for new content to watch.

Caavo is trying to change that with its Control Center. This central smart home theater hub sports 4 HDMI inputs, Alexa/Assistant integration, and a unique interface that could help simplify your home theater lifestyle.

Caavo first introduced its entertainment hubs back in February of this year. It brought unified search and access to multiple platforms.

In this day and age, we struggle with “what to watch” or “where to watch it.” Netflix has tons of great original content, but so does Amazon. Apple is even working on its own original content, and soon others will follow suit. But, what’s the best way to discover these series without friends recommending it or stumbling across it? It’s not like you’ll see a commercial for Stranger Things or Travelers while watching Discovery Channel on your TV.

That’s where Caavo’s Control Center comes in. You can feed Caavo all of your streaming and entertainment devices, from Apple TV to Xbox and your cable company’s set-top box. Caavo will then curate everything into one easy to use interface, and make everything searchable. Apple TV does this some, but only through its built-in UI and it doesn’t support other devices.

Caavo Control Center also features voice actions, like “Hey Google, turn on Apple TV” or “Hey Alexa, watch ESPN.” This means that you can control your entire entertainment center from one device, with just your voice. Caavo can even control audio playback, so you can turn the volume up or down without a remote.

You will get 4K HDR support as well as Dolby Atmos with Caavo Control Center, meaning you’ll have the highest-quality streaming and audio playback that money can buy.

Cavvo seems to be an easy choice for simplifying your home theater setup. You’ll get unification and only need one remote (as long as your device supports CEC, and most do), and you can easily search across many video streaming and cable platforms to aggregate your content into a single area, making it easy to find your next show to watch.

Caavo will run you $99.95 and there’s a monthly fee of $1.99 for the company’s unification services. You can pick up Caavo at Best Buy, Amazon, and direct.
