Earlier this year Samsung released a new pair of Bluetooth sound bars in the first partnership with Harman Kardon. Now less than a month later, the company is turning to another industry-leading audio manufacturer, AKG, to debut a triad of new variably featured Bluetooth headphones. Head below to get the full scoop.

The summer of 2018 has seen a variety of high-end audio-related releases, with Samsung’s latest announcement moving away from home theater-related gear. Today’s unveil is the second batch of new products from the company, of which pairs high-end audio with three different form-factors of headphones.

First up you’ll find Samsung’s feature-rich N700NC Headphones. Entering with a sleek over-ear form-factor, these headphones also bring Adaptive Noise Cancelling into the mix, which allows users to control just how much of their surrounding’s noise they want to let in. This means you can entirely cut out everything around you when on a plane, or help make that rowdy morning commute more enjoyable. You can expect to get around 20 hours of audio playback per charge.

If on-ear style headphones are more your style, designed with commuters in mind, the Y500 cut down on the N700NC’s bulk at the expense of adaptive noise cancellation. Despite lacking these features, Samsung has opted to include Multi-point Connectivity, allowing you to pair them with two devices as well as automatically playing/pausing content when putting on or taking off the headphones. Battery life is also improved, netting you 33 hours of use.

Lastly there’s Samsung’s Y100, which are your standard Bluetooth earbuds. You’ll only get around eight hours of playback here, but that’s a pretty typical metric across similar models on the market.

Both of Samsung’s lower-end models come equipped with a feature deemed Ambient Aware, which tame surrounding noise but without the fine-grained control of Active Noise Cancellation. All of the new headphone releases are said to rock the usual high-end AKG sound quality as well.

While the N700NC headphones are only available in a silver finish, the other two offerings each come in their own assortment of colorways. Both are available in black, blue, green and pink.

If truly wireless options like AirPods are off the table for your audio needs, both the Y100 and Y500 headphones are currently available for purchase at Amazon for $100 and $150 respectively. Those wishing to add Samsung’s more expensive $350 N700NC headphones to their audio arsenal will have to wait until sometime later this year.
