Last call to save 20% on the biggest games before Amazon ends Prime member benefits

20% off

(Update 8/27 11:00am): Today is the last chance for Prime members to lock-in the 20% discount before the whole thing shuts down tomorrow. You won’t be charged until the game ships and you can always cancel between then and now.

As we reported earlier this week, Amazon will soon shut down its Prime member video game pre-order discounts. After Best Buy announced it was ending the amazing Gamers Club unlocked program back in May, it felt like only a matter of time before Amazon would do something similar. Prime members only have until August 28th to lock-in that deep 20% discount, so we thought now would be a good time go over some of the best options for gamers.

Those still lucky enough to have GCU still can get the same or better deals, active memberships are starting to dwindle. These last few days before Amazon shuts it all down next Tuesday are going to be the very last chance to grab 20% off on upcoming titles for many. But for the small lucky few still out there, hit this landing page to grab 20% off plus a $10 credit on just about all of the biggest upcoming titles at Best Buy (all of which are listed below for Prime members).

Amazon has said it will begin offering the $10 credit on select game pre-orders after August 28th, but there are no specifics available on what games that will include. We are expecting a very similar selection at Best Buy though. More details on that below.

While in many cases, simply waiting for post-release price drops is a smart option, if you know there are games you want on day one, than locking-in the 20% discount now is clearly the way to go. It’s not often we see full priced games drop lower than $12 or 20% within the first month or even more of the launch date.

Down below you’ll find a list of all the top-tier titles eligible for Amazon’s fleeting Prime pre-order discount. This list is essentially broken down into multi-platform (mainly PS4 and Xbox One titles) followed by the best upcoming Switch titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and more. You’ll find all the latest details on the new Smash Bros. right here along with that Limited Edition Bundle.

Note: You’ll find some links to titles that aren’t currently available in the hopes they might pop-up before next Tuesday including Red Dead Redemption and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
