Razer’s high-end 2.1-Ch. Nommo Pro speakers sport Bluetooth, THX-certification, more

Razer has been expanding into new categories lately, with one of the latest being its Nommo speaker line. We reviewed the Nommo Chroma earlier this year and absolutely loved them, but today the Nommo Pro launched and are available for purchase.

The Nommo Pro speakers are similar to Nommo Chroma, but with quite a few extra bells and whistles. You’ll find THX-certification, an added subwoofer, and more on the higher-end Nommo Pro, but is this the speaker set you need? Keep reading to find out more.

Razer’s Nommo Pro speakers are the company’s highest-end offering in the Nommo line. This speaker kit comes with THX-certification as well as Dolby Virtual Surround Sound technology so you can experience a cinematic presence wherever you are.

I was able to demo the Nommo Pro at CES back in January, and it’s an insane system. When sitting in-between the two main speakers, I felt as if it was a true surround sound system.

Where the Nommo Chroma lacks, which is in bass clarity and high-frequency sounds, the Nommo Pro makes up. On top of the Nommo Pro speakers, you’ll see dedicated tweeters for those higher sounds and a subwoofer for the lower frequencies.

Input-wise, the Nommo Chroma only has USB and 3.5mm, while the Nommo Pro features USB, Optical, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm. You’ll have a much wider variety of options when getting audio into the Nommo Pro, so it will fit just about any desk setup.

There’s a control pod that gives you volume and source controls where you need it, and even features a headphone jack so you can listen to your audio privately. This is a nice upgrade over the Nommo Chroma which has its controls on the right speaker, sometimes inconvenient when the speakers are placed behind a monitor.

There are also EQ settings and bass levels that can be customized through Razer Synapse 3 or a dedicated Nommo Pro app on Android or iOS.

The Nommo Pro speakers also feature Razer Chroma lighting, similar to the Nommo Chroma, giving a bit of ambient lighting to your desk.

If you’re looking for high-end audio for your computer gaming setup, this is a great choice. Though on the higher-end for pricing, it packs plenty of features. If you already own Razer products, the RGB lighting will tie in across all of your devices and give you one cohesive look.

You can purchase the Razer Nommo Pro from Amazon and direct for $499.99 shipped.
