I was recently in a wedding, and was prepared for the usual smattering of groomsmen gifts that were destined to find their way into a drawer somewhere. Turns out, the groom had something pretty cool up his sleeve…or should I say, in his wallet.
Amongst the selection of gifts was this nifty 11-function stainless steel survival tool. At under $4 via Amazon, this is a must-have for your wallet. It’s capable of doing just about any task you might come across, and is arguably less likely to be lost than those Swiss Army knives we’ve seen around for years. Head below for a quick look.

So admittedly, when you see that this thing only costs $4, there is a bit of skepticism. But it’s made from stainless steel and is honestly a little too sharp. It’s hard to mess up a tool like this, short of it just being made from a lower-grade material. It’s full-on stainless steel and in my use thus far, has been able to take on just about any task that I throw at it.
Now, because it’s so sharp, it comes with a sleeve for being stored in your wallet. Its casing isn’t much to write home about, but when you reach into a wallet you’ll be glad that it’s there protecting your digits from injury.
11 Functions, 1 Tool |
So what all can this baby do? Officially, it’s a wrench, knife, bottle opener, ruler, and more. I’ve mostly been using it as a way to pop tops but the knife may be my favorite feature to date. As I mentioned before, the whole thing is wildly sharp. But the serrated teeth are arguably the most dangerous. I’ve used it a number of times to cut off tags or make slight alterations while on-the-go when I didn’t have a knife handy.
Obviously the bottle opener function is great for a Friday…or well, any night. A sneaky feature is the four-position wrench, which is made to fit up against a variety of screws and bolts. I found this handy the other day while I was out riding my eBike, which needed a quick tightening.

All of those functions aside, at $4 this is an easy buy. The quality is stellar and it’s usability is undeniable. I’ve never been a big fan of multi-tools, honestly because I assume I’ll forget it when leaving the house or misplace it somewhere away from home.
I love this nifty multi-tool because it has a place in my wallet and I always know where it should go after each use. And at just $4, you can’t go wrong. If you need more convincing, over 1,500 Amazon reviewers have left a 4.3/5 star rating.
