Earlier today, a new company called Aquio announced that it has partnered with iHome to release a bottle for carrying both cold and hot liquids that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. It holds 16 ounces of liquid, packs a 5-watt speaker, and an IP67 dust/water resistance rating in a sandproof design, making it a great choice for frequent beach-goers.
iHome has been making headphones, docking stations, smart home devices, and other accessories since 2005. It has become a reputable brand with many of its products fetching 4+ star ratings Amazon.
With companies like Apple trying to be as green as possible shown by efforts like running its own operations with 100% renewable energy, many consumers are on the lookout for ways that they can chip in and help make earth as good or better than the way they found it. Opting for reusable water bottles is an easy way to help achieve this goal.
“From the materials used, to how it feels in your hand, even its stylish look and impressive sound quality, everything about our Aquio hydration bottles exudes premium quality,” said Nisan Davydov, Aquio and iHome Marketing. “Customers will love the modular design of the product, as it gives them the option to use the bottle and speaker separately or together in addition to changing the colors up.”
Aquio’s bottle keeps drinks cold or hot thanks to a double-wall insulated stainless steel design. The company claims that customers can expect to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot for as long as 14 hours. Not quite as long as many customers claim to experience with YETI products, but still plenty of time to get you through a full day which is all that most of us really need.
While a 5-watt speaker will get the job done, don’t expect it to perform anything like Apple’s HomePod, Sonos products, and other dedicated Bluetooth speakers. Although it seems that this bottle isn’t really aiming to compete head-to-head with most speakers since it allows you to head to the beach with one less thing. With its wide-mouth twist-off lid, it should be comfortable to drink out of and easy to clean.
Aquio is expected to be released in early July in colors such as midnight, seafoam, merlot and blush and will retail for $69.99. Even though the water bottles are not available until next month, you can currently pre-order the midnight and seafoam variants on Amazon.
