Escort unveils its first Connected Car Radar Detection System, available now

Escort is embracing the future of connected cars with its newest radar detector. The new MAX 360c device is able to connect to your car’s Wi-Fi if available, or you can connect it to your smartphone using Bluetooth. The detector will also automatically update to the latest software and firmware without having to remove it from your car.

With built-in Wi-Fi, the Escort MAX 360c will automatically update itself using its own on-board Wi-Fi connection and will even alert you to the latest local ticket threats in real-time while you are on the road. It connects to the service called Escort Live that provides this information quickly and seamlessly.

The MAX 360c also has a much slimmer design than its predecessor and has LED arrows that actually show the direction of the detected radar threat. Also, with the updated arrow placement on the front of the display as opposed to the side, this feature makes for easy viewing and less distracted driving.

The new system also has a multi-color OLED display that can show the threat type, proximity and also your speed in HD. There are dual antennas that provide both front and rear detection. You also get an easy magnetic mount that is said to be very simple to use and easy to install. The mount attaches and releases with just a magnetic touch and puts an end to issues of your detector falling off the windshield.

The new ESCORT MAX 360c is the first radar and laser detector designed for the connected car. With built-in Wi-Fi, the MAX 360c updates through the on-board Wi-Fi connection, alerting the driver to the latest ticket threats in real-time. ESCORT Live keeps drivers aware of upcoming alerts received and reported by other users in the area, and gives you access to local speed limit data for over-speed alerts, right out of the box.

You can get your hands on one of the Escort MAX 360c for $700, exclusively from the company’s website or by calling (866) 709-8744.
