MyLifter 2.0 is the smartest storage system to ever hit your garage

Everybody needs more storage space and we all could all use less clutter in our lives, especially in the garage. The company GarageSmart is back on Kickstarter (after its success with the original MyLifter 1.0  over 3 years ago) with its 2nd generation myLIFTER that amazingly stores bikes, kayaks, car roof racks and more on the ceiling of your garage.

The MyLifter 2.0 can hoist up into the air just about anything you don’t have room for on the ground. From your kids power wheels to the family’s bikes, the innovative strap system allows you to lift with ease. You might be wondering, why not just store your bike on hooks manually like everyone else? Well, the myLIFTER has more than a few cool features worth checking out. The app will not only let you raise and lower your bikes and other heavy objects on command, but you can also set it to remember specific heights. So, it will always know exactly how far down it should bring your bike when it’s time to load up the top of the car. And, since each hook is capable of supporting up to 100 pounds, you can use multiple units to work together to hang even heavier objects from the ceiling.

When your MyLifter arrives, you’ll first have to install the Smart Track to your garage ceiling. It’s not too difficult as long as you have a power drill and a ladder. Just drill the track into a ceiling stud or series of studs, depending on which way you line up the track. The myLIFTER itself will snap right into the track with a set of included clips.

The best part of this storage system has to be that everything can be controlled using your smartphone and the free iOS or Android app. The team of engineers that came up with myLIFTER say connecting them to your phone is really easy to do with available Bluetooth technology. Just open the app, power up the lifter and the two devices will find each other when you select the “pairing option.” Then, add that device to your smartphone, and you’re ready to lift up and away.

A pledge of $175 or more will get you the basic package of the MyLifter 2.0. It includes one MyLifter 2.0 that’s excellent for lifting and storing children’s toys, a single bike, a kayak or canoe, and more. That’s $55 off the expected retail value of it and the lowest you can currently get it for. Shipping to backers is expected to begin in March of 2018. Can’t wait that long? The myLifter 1.0 is now available at Amazon for $199.
