WaterField’s new Nintendo Switch case fits all your accessories in a compact leather carrier

Pre-order

After launching its CitySlicker case for Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and later Nintendo Switch, WaterField is back at it again. Well-known for its use of high-quality materials and craftsmanship, today the company is introducing its latest carrier for Nintendo’s insanely popular hybrid console.

While we have seen loads of different options for Nintendo Switch carrying cases, just about none of them are even on the same level as the CitySlicker and now, the new Arcade Gaming Case. Premium leathers, magnetic clasps and high-end canvas make some of the other options on the market look like toys for kids. While you can certainly go grab a carrier for a fraction of the price on Amazon, it will also more than likely be about a fraction of the quality.

WaterField has once again employed all of its favorite materials here including full-grain leather which is apparently “the most expensive you can buy”, ballistic nylon, wax canvas and a gold-lined plush interior liner. Along with the hidden magnetic clasps that hold the main leather flap in place, you’ll also find waterproof YYK zippers and an optional 1-inch shoulder strap with metal hardware. In fact, the included D-rings allows you to switch from a typical over-the-shoulder strap to a carabineer set-up. But you can also just use the riveted “easy-to-grip” leather-cased handle as well.

The new Arcade case is named as such because not only can you fit the Switch itself but also all the accessories you might need with it. That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to us, but I guess you can set up your own arcade on-the-go?

Nonetheless, it’s a really nice carrier with more than enough room for all your accessories. WaterField says the two interior plush pockets are perfect for your AC adapter and the JoyCon Grip, but you can also fit a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in there by pushing the two pockets back and out of the way. On top of that, WF says a Hori PlayStand, the company’s flat game-card holder or individual games, earbuds and a USB-C cable will also fit in the remaining space.

The new Nintendo Switch Arcade Case is available for pre-order now for $109 in black ballistic nylon with full-grain leather details or tan waxed canvas. WaterField says the first production run will begin shipping on November 17th.
