Rockstar unveils new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 [Video]

Late last week, the folks over at Rockstar Games took to its official Twitter account to tease what could only be the next details on Red Dead Redemption 2. Well today is the day, and the Grand Theft Auto developers certainly didn’t disappoint.

The Red Dead franchise started back in 2004 on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Since that time it has garnered a massive following. After 2010’s Red Dead Redemption brought the series to new heights, there’s just no turning back for Rockstar’s Old West adventure/shooter. It is one of those games everyone seems to like no matter what your genre preferences might be, but that is only to be expected from the creators of the insanely popular Grand Theft Auto series.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is about as highly anticipated as a game could be and, in turn, expectations are very high. The first go around brought one of the most interesting and immersive open-worlds gaming has ever seen, on top of some excellent gameplay and a large cast of memorable characters. Now 8 years later, Rockstar is readying the release of the sequel.

Back in May 2017, Rockstar delayed RD2 from fall 2017 to spring 2018. Unfortunately, we don’t have any new details when it comes to release dates, but you can expect it sometime after April 1st, 2018.

But more importantly, Rockstar released the second trailer for the upcoming game this morning with some gorgeous new visuals, hints at the story, and a brief look at hunting and more.

While details are still hard to come by, we do know the game will follow the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang. They will make their way across the American frontier robbing and stealing anything they can get their hands on. Although you can more than likely expect a much more nuanced arch than that if Rockstar’s latest work is any indication.

Feast your eyes on this:

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming spring 2018 on PlayStation 4/Xbox One and it couldn’t come fast enough.

In case you missed the original debut trailer and details, you can get all of that right here.
