Marty McFly’s original ‘Back to the Future II’ Nike Mags go up for auction later this year

As it often does with iconic movie memorabilia, Prop Store is planning on auctioning off a pair of original Nike Mags worn by one Marty McFly in 1989’s Back to the Future II later this year.

The auction is expected to reach anywhere from $32,000 to $45,000, but given the 2016 re-releases often fetch as much, we wouldn’t be surprised if this extremely rare original pair brought in a much higher closing price when the auction is said and done.

After first re-releasing the shoe in 2011, Nike launched a true self-lacing version last year and, as noted above, resale price on those shoes approached as high as the expected price for the upcoming originals.

Solecollector notes the shoes were on display during Comic-Con in San Diego this past weekend (as pictured above) and spoke to Prop Store who confirmed the shoes will be auctioned this fall.
