Today, Acer has introduced a 32-inch 4K display aimed at graphics professionals. The BM320 features a 3840×2160 Ultra HD IPS panel with 178-degree viewing angles, an Adobe RGB gamut, and 10-bit color depth. Acer’s new monitor is ideally suited for a graphics workstation or video post-production toolkit.
This Acer has excellent connectivity options with DVI, HDMI v2.0, DisplayPort v1.2, Mini DisplayPort and a USB 3.0 hub. Plus, it also comes with two 2W speakers. The sleek ZeroFrame design provides the max viewing area and virtually eliminates the screen’s bezel for what Acer describes as a seamless visual experience in multiple display setups. The IPS panel enables wide viewing angles with accurate colors up to 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically.
With support for 10-bit color, this monitor provides significantly more color depth than conventional 8-bit displays. It’s also factory pre-tuned and tested to ensure color accuracy with very precise hues.
Acer’s ErgoStand lets you easily swivel up or down 45 degrees, tilt, pivot and alter the height to find the optimum viewing position. Also, it comes with a VESA mount for hanging it on the wall to save space. That’s a nice touch on Acer’s part considering typical VESA mount can run anywhere from $35 up to well over $70 on Amazon and the like.
For those not firmly positioned in the pro graphics department, you’ll likely find 32-inch 4K displays with more than enough feature to suite your needs for less. But Acer has certainly packed in some nice features to warrant the steep price tag for pros.
The Acer ProDesigner BM320 monitor will be offered at online channel partners in the United States with a three year warranty that includes next business day advance exchange with free shipping and toll-free support. Selling prices begin at $1,299.
