TP-Link has unveiled a new version of its popular Smart Plugs, the HS-105 Mini. This model offers a slimmer design and does not require the presence of a Wi-Fi connected hub. The latest TP-Link plug continues the recent trend of new smart home devices that play nicely with Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service. Sadly, it does not bring HomeKit functionality to the table. Opting for a slimmer design allows the HS-105 to fit in more locations than its competitors, such as the much larger WeMo Switch. It comes it at just 1- x 2.75- x 2.2-inches.
Smart outlets are an excellent way to bring enhanced control to common household items. Like the rest of TP-Link’s offerings, users will be able to create schedules, monitor usage and remotely access devices via the free smartphone app. Best of all, it connects directly to your existing Wi-Fi thanks to its hub-less design. This is a distinct advantage over pricier alternatives like Philips Hue. The TP-Link HS105 is available for purchase today at Amazon and other online retailers.
With its compact design, TP-Link HS105 Smart Plugs are only 1.5 inches thick, allowing consumers to plug into a power outlet without blocking adjacent sockets. Its sleek design blends harmoniously into any room decor. Using TP-Link’s Kasa app, consumers can easily manage devices connected to their HS105 Smart Plugs from one location, with no hub required. Consumers may program lamps, fans or other devices to operate based on their daily and weekly routines by setting schedules, timers or countdowns. For added peace of mind, Away Mode helps improve security by giving the appearance that someone is home even when traveling. TP-Link’s Smart Plug Mini provides everything you need to keep your smart home running smoothly.
