Sprint’s 40GB/mo Better Choice XXL plan now includes 12 free months of Amazon Prime

Sprint has announced today that its Better Choice XXL plan, which includes 40GB/month of data and unlimited talk and text, now comes with 12 free months of Amazon Prime (normally $99/year)…

Sprint’s Better Choice plans range in offering from 1GB of data per month to 40GB with the XXL plan, all of which come with unlimited 2G data after your allotment of high speed data is used up. The XXL plan costs $100 per month for all that data, with an additional $20 per line access charge.

According to some tweets from Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure, this promotion applies to all customers who choose to enroll in the XXL plan (both new and existing), and it includes all the typical Amazon Prime benefits such as free two-day shipping, and access to Amazon streaming music, Prime Video, eBooks, and more.

To get this deal, just head over to Sprint’s site (or go to the nearest Sprint brick-and-mortar store), and sign up for the XXL plan. Sprint says that customers will then receive a text message (presumably on their new Sprint line) with a link to complete Amazon Prime registration. As was first announced last month, the company also says that current customers can subscribe to Prime monthly through their Sprint bill if they wish, but there isn’t any real benefit to this.

If you’re not interested in Sprint service, you can of course still sign up for Amazon Prime and related services as usual through Amazon’s site. Prime Video costs $8.99 by itself, or you can get all of the Amazon Prime benefits for $10.99 per month or $99 per year (roughly $8.25 per month).
