Keep in mind, the latest update for Parallels 9 does support OS X Yosemite, but we cant say for sure whether or not it will support El Capitan and Windows 10.

Parallels 9 is NOT the current version. I hate that 9to5 says “original price” rather than MSRP because it’s deceiving.

We specifically used the term ‘original price’ for this deal because it isn’t the current version. If it were current we’d use the term ‘regular price.’ We also use the term ‘original’ for when we’re comparing prices of a refurbished, used, or open-box item. In the body we try to clearly compare original, regular, and street prices.

      Thanks for reading.

Of course it won’t support El Capitan. Look at Parallels past history. Their business model forces users to pay for an annual upgrade when a new OS X is released. El Capitan is just around the corner so this is why it’s cheap right now. When El Capitan is released, you’ll just have to buy it again because this version won’t work with El Capitan.

Agreed – but not everyone upgrades right away, so this is a good opportunity for some people to get Parallels on-the-cheap.
