Update 9/24 9:40am: The refurbished Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover dropped down to only $27.99 this morning.

Groupon has the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for Apple iPad Air (in Black or White) for a low $29.99 shipped. That’s 70% off the list price, $35 less than Amazon, and a match for the lowest price we’ve seen.

The keyboard from Logitech features built-in Bluetooth and full-size keys and iOS shortcuts for fast, fluid typing. The cover and iPad stay perfectly aligned and securely closed when you are on the go with magnetic clasps. Also, a magnetic groove holds the iPad upright at the ideal angle for typing and interacting with the touch screen. The Logitech automatically wakes your iPad when you open the cover and puts it to sleep when closed.

With the money you save on the keyboard cover, you can easily pick an Incase Neoprene Sleeve for your iPad on sale at Amazon for only $22.

Couldn’t Be Happier With a Keyboard!, March 27, 2014

This review is from: Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad Air, White (Personal Computers)

I wanted a keyboard that could easily detach from my iPad Air so that the 70% of the time that I use it without the keyboard, it didn’t loose it’s slick elegance and turn into a bulky blob. I wanted a keyboard that had big keys and was easy to type with. And I wanted a keyboard that fit together with my iPad Air nicely.MAN! Did I get it all with the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad Air.

I still use my Apple brand iPad Smart Cover. What I do is sandwich the Smart Cover between the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover and the iPad Air. (The magnets let this work perfectly! I was surprised that it works, but it does!) Then, when I want to use the iPad without the keyboard, I just pull it off and set it aside. (I can, obviously, just as easily pull the Smart Cover off, too, and use the iPad Air “naked” for minimum profile operation … or, I can fold the Smart Cover back to give me traction on whatever surface I’m resting the device on.)

None of the rest really mattered to me, but I’m happy with it: the keys are easy to type on, the battery lasts a serviceably long time, and pairing was super-easy.

Unless you never, EVER type with your iPad Air OR you ALWAYS type with your iPad Air, this is a GREAT accessory. But buy a Smart Cover, too … you’ll be THRILLED with the trio!
