It was just a couple of months back when we told you about LEGO’s reincarnation of the famous Ghostbusters Firehouse. Today, our favorite toy-maker is back with another set focused on the classic series. This new kit, which is based on this summer’s upcoming redux, features minifigs based on Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy plus a perfect reproduction of their ghost-busting wagon. Head below for more info and a full gallery.
In typical LEGO fashion, all of the details are spot on. Aside from the previously mentioned minifigs, you’ll also find replications of Kate McKinnon, Lesli Jones and Chris Hemsworth. There is a Red Daemon fig that is pretty crazy looking. Your traditional LEGO, these are not.
After seeing the Ghostbusters Firehouse, it’s no surprise that the vehicles in this set are so perfect. The Ecto-1 has a killer paint job with all the decals in the right places. It’s a slightly more modern take on the previously-released 21108 set that has been met with rave-reviews since it dropped. The red and yellow color theme pops out beautifully when mixed with the classic Cadillac design.
On top of the car you’ll find all of the expected ghostbusting gear. The trunk swings out to reveal more storage space for more tools. Each door opens, so you can place your minifigs inside when it’s time to go fight some Ghosts. LEGO also includes the Ecto-2 Motorbike. There isn’t much to the bike, but the inclusion is a nice touch.
The set is scheduled to be released on July 1st for $60. In the meantime, check out all the other movie-inspired LEGO releases like Star Wars, Avengers, and Jurassic Park.
