Update (8/24 11:15am):

In today’s best game/app deals, Splatoon for Wii U is getting its very first decent price drop over on Amazon. Prime members only can pickup the ink blasting shooter for $49.99 shipped (discount added in cart). That’s $10 off the regular listing and the best price we have seen.

Splatter enemies and claim your turf as ink-spraying, squid-like Inklings in Nintendo’s ultimate mess-fest! Challenge players online* in chaotic 4-on-4 turf wars and unleash squid powers to ink your way to victory. May the best mess win.

Target has an interesting deal on PS4 today. It’s offering 15% off all its PS4 consoles, plus an additional 5% for REDcard holders. That brings the Batman Arkham Knight bundle, for example, down to $340 shipped, or $333 for REDcard holders and is one the best PS4 deals we can find. We also spotted a nice Wii U console bundle deal with Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and your choice of Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 or Super Smash Bros. for $320 shipped ($370+ value).

We also spotted pre-orders of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: The Complete Official Guide Collector’s Edition hardcover for $21.48 Prime shipped (Orig. $35, within a few cents of low). You’ll find The Art of Fallout 4 hardcover book (pre-order) $28.06 Prime shipped (Reg. $35) and The Fallout 4 Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide (pre-order) for $25.34 Prime shipped (Reg. $40) as well.
