It didn’t take long for Power – the iPhone battery monitoring app for Apple Watch – to see a price drop. After being released two weeks ago for $0.99, it is available today for free for the first time in celebration of Canada Day.

This handy app allows Apple Watch users to see the battery levels of their iPhone on their wrist, either as a glance or within the app. It is a simple app that comes in handy particularly when charging your iPhone in another room, as Apple Watch can still communicate with its paired device when on the same Wi-Fi network. As we noted when Power was first released, this takes the guess work out of knowing the battery levels of your iPhone, something that was previously not possible from Apple Watch.

Power has been rated 4/5 stars by iOS users since its release.

    Power isn’t free. It’s .99 still.

It was just a one day sale, the price has returned to its normal listing.
