The Trefecta DRT is an electric bike even James Bond would ride

Military grade aluminum. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Dutch, German and Swiss Engineers. No we aren’t describing the latest ultra-fast, ultra-light electric car. This is the Trefecta DRT, a new electric bike that’s more James Bond than Huffy or Schwinn.

The Trefecta DRT is a new “super e-bike” with full-throttle modes requiring zero pedaling and speeds up to 40 MPH. With a 7075 aluminum frame and 4kW motor, this new electric bike has specs that make us think motorcycle, not bike. The reality is that it is intended to be a little bit of both. It has a 60 volt lithium-ion battery that should last riders over 60 miles per charge. Re-fueling the battery should take about three hours.

It’s not a dumb bike either, in fact it’s got all the same wireless connectivity as your MacBook. With built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the Trefecta connects to your iPhone which sits upon a waterproof dock near the handlebars. It also has a built-in trip computer that shows distance traveled, battery charge and speed.

No doubt, this e-bike has all the technology that James Bond would want and good looks to boot. It even has the price tag to match, coming in at a cool $25,000. Production has yet to commence, but pre-orders are available via the Trefecta website.
