Size is easily the most talked about attribute of the all-new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Obviously, the pumped up screens are getting much of the spotlight but their shaved down profiles and perfectly rounded edges are also turning heads.
We spend hundreds of dollars on these sexy new devices just to cover them up with bulky cases. The only other option is to rock your iPhone naked as the day it left Foxconn but then it’s more susceptible to breakage. Wraps and skins protect our devices from abrasions but not drops and quite frankly, are a pain in the neck to install.

However, ultra-thin cases maintain the iPhone’s slender design, while keeping it safe from scratches and everyday drops. Although, it’s important to keep in mind that cases less than 0.70mm thick are so slim that they won’t protect the protruding iSight camera.
If you can’t deal with the stress of going without a case but also don’t want to cover up Jony’s newest creation, then these ultra-thin cases may be the best choice for you…

The problem with ultra thin is that it eventually stretches out. I had the shumuri and the case started to stretch and stick out around the volume buttons. It was a nice case when it was new, but this turned out to be an annoyance. I’m now case-less.
Something not spoken about the Shumuri case is that it actually has full coverage, including the speakers, headphone and bottom lightning connector. Which is unlike any other case of that thickness that is simply open.

No talk about Krown case? Those case are probably the thinnest case on the market, and branding free. They also have a premium range that fit the phone perfectly. Without adding the usual bulky look that all the case add to an iPhone. Very cheap too. krowncase.com
What should be a sensible reason 4 protecting a camera lense that, with the notable exception of U carrying diamond grade sandpaper and abrasives in U pocket can’t get scratches? Ah U’r sayng it’s in danger of breaking because of the decreased elasticity that is an inherent property of hard materials? If the cam was let’s say of square inch size, that’ll be the case. Personally this worries me the least. There is however a substantial problem with the new iPhones and it is not ” bent gate”. Due to the new smooth and curved surfaces the cases fit snugly around the phone and unfortunately only small amounts of water are required to produce a liquid /H2O layer around the phone that encloses it @ the area where display and aluminum meet. If there is only the slightest area where the display isn’t sealed, your display gets nasty discolorations and spots that cannot simply be removed by drying it up. The capillary forces cause minute amounts of this to penetratehte laminated screen and this causes permanent damage. I have seen it with 2 iPhone 6 devices, ( a few drops in the shower, the other was exposed to a little rain. ) If you used the “naked” iPhone , there is no such danger. The tight fitting cases are a prerequisite. No other iPhone be4 had been sensitive in this regard. Happy Sunday
Surprising that no one mentions Tech21. Best cases on the market without a lot of added bulk.
Have had the following cases across my desk (for various users in the office):
Spigen Thin Fit = has lay flat protection
Spigen Air Case = no lay flat protection
Case Mate Barely There = has lay flat protection
For my personal iP6 I chose the Spigen Neo Hybrid. Looks great, fits perfect, adds minimal bulk – especially considering it’s a dual layer case.
Why does nobody ever mention if cases offer face down protection? No point in having a case if the phone protrudes on the front edge.
Spigen mentions a 0.3mm lip on this case: http://www.spigen.com/iphone-6-case-thin-fit-4-7.html. Refer to the images on the product page.
